have you seen these pictures of einstein’s desk?
it might make me feel a little better about the junkheap that is the left arm of my sofa which doubles as a desk.
some blank notebooks (gotten as gifts)
redacting tape (with the cartoon character pukka on it)
yearly planners from 2006, 2007 and 2008 (before i went digital)
a memory stick with the cap missing
an eyeliner pencil (rust)
the remote control to my mac
old plane ticket stubs (united)
an old g-shock watch that needs a new band
various computer cords
post-its (yellow lined and purple, unlined)
green sunglasses in a green case
a brown paper notebook from 2004
an unopened bottle of purple nail polish
the only thing missing is a half-eaten sandwich.
what’s on your desk?

Yeah, I too use the couch and coffee table as a makeshift writing desk. That said, this is what you can find on it: My laptop, Abby’s laptop, a hard copy of whatever script I’m working on, a notebook, two pens, one pencil, old copies of New York Magazine, the television remotes (3 of them), and whatever comics Abby and I are reading at the moment (Grant Morrison’s ” New X-Men” Ultimate Collection Volume 3 & Brian K. Vaughan’s “Ex Machina” Hardcover trade volume 1, respectively).
And, yes, seeing Einstein’s desk does make me feel better about being such a pack rack . . . though I don’t think it’ll make Abby any less frustrated with me.
